2011-12 – Annual Day – 13th year celebration

Hello Parents,

At the outset, we will like to thank all the students, parents and teachers for all the support, hard work and commitment which helped us put together a great show. We had to split the annual day into two sessions because of the large number of student programs. Here is a quick summary:

Session 1 – We were pleased to have with us the following dignitaries for the first session:

• Mrs. Hema Shyam, General Manager – Karunashraya (Bangalore Hospice Trust), terminal care centre for cancer patients
• Mrs. Varalakshmi, Corporator – Marathahalli
• Dr. K.M. Cherian, Chairman-Karimpanethu Charitable Trust.
• Lt (Mrs) S. Cherian (Retd), Vice-Chairperson-Karimpanethu Charitable Trust.

Session 2 – We were pleased to have with us the following dignitaries for the Second session:

• Very Rev: K I Philip Remban, A well known social worker of the malankara orthodox church and director of 15 orphanges and old age homes run by the malankara orthodox church mission board.
• Mr. Alex, Director – Holy Angel School – Hyderabad
• Dr. K.M. Cherian, Chairman-Karimpanethu Charitable Trust.
• Lt (Mrs) S. Cherian (Retd), Vice-Chairperson-Karimpanethu Charitable Trust.

Head Mistress Mrs. Mary Magdalene presented the annual report and handed over a gift cheque of INR 10000.00 to Mrs. Hema Shyam, General Manager – Karunashraya. This donation was part of our regular yearly charity contribution to the society.

The most amazing part was that we had more than 30 programs hosted by our students. We cannot be more happy to see the enthusiasm, team work and commitment by our students and teachers. We thank all the dignitaries for the inspirational messages and the management for all the support.

2011-12: Admission open – Nursery to Std IX

2011-12: Activities update – Half yearly

Hello Parents,

Season Greetings !!!

Its been a while we updated this space, so we decided to give you a quick half yearly update on our activities.

As part of this year’s programs, we did complete most of the planned activities. Here is a quick summary:

Fancy dress competition : We have completed the fancy dress competition for all the classes – Nursery to Class X. We do appreciate the commitment and creativity among the students and parents. Photographs can be viewed at : http://kidsglobal.net/gallery/main.php

Art & Craft exhibition : This year students took lead to organize the art and craft exhibition. The middle and high school students teamed up to make working models and to exhibit team skills. The nursery and primary school students brought in articles made from waste materials, grains, clay etc. Some of the attractions were the Dinosaurs, Eiffel Tower, fountains, working heart etc. Photographs can be viewed at : http://kidsglobal.net/gallery/main.php

Rangoli competition : Students from Class V to X participated in the rangoli competition organized at the school premises. This was a team effort and we could sense the ownership among the team members right from the team formation to the execution. We are proud of our students for practicing what we teach. Competitions : As of now, our students participated in the regional sports events, Quiz organized by Deccan Herald, Science talent examination, Maths talent examination, Jawahar Navodaya examination. The results to these competition are awaited.

Special focus sessions : We have already conducted sessions for the high school students on topics like soft skills, social responsibility, leadership skills, career planning and development.

Educational tours : Students of Class VII & VIII has visited a poultry and agricultural farm. This helped the students understand the means of farming and helps them connect to the importance and practicality of farming.

Celebrations : We value celebrations and ensure students understand the importance of these celebrations. We did celebrate the Kargil day, Independence day, Republic day, Teacher’s day, Children’s day and our students Birthday’s. Celebrations helps us understand the talents among our students and teachers.

PTA meeting : PTA meeting has been a regularly affair every second saturday of the month.

We have few more planned activities to be completed. Will update this space as we complete these activities.

Hello Parents,

Fancy dress competition has become an excited event among the students. We are noticing creativity and enthusiasm among the students. We are amazed and proud of the students and appreciate the efforts and support from the parents.

Fancy dress competition is completed for Primary classes. Nursery section and High school competition is scheduled.

Kids Global School is recognized by the Govt. Of Karnataka. This institution is an initiative of the Karimpanethu Charitable Trust (R). No donation or capitation fees. Fee structure is affordable and reasonable as the motive of this organisation is not fund raising rather to provide quality education and to generate employment.

2010-11 : Kids Global School – Dignitaries visit

Dear Parents,

This year has been a special year for us with the visit of our patrons to the school.

Our students had the privilege to interact with these special guests at our school:

• Very Rev K. I. Philip Remban, Director of 10 orphanages of the Malankara Orthodox Church and the Chief Patron – Kids Global School.
• Dr. Philipos Mar Stephanos, Bishop of Iduki Diocese of the Malankara Catholic Church and the Patron – Kids Global School.
• Dr. Abraham Mar Youlious, Bishop of Moovatupuzha Diocese of the Malankara Catholic Church and the Patron – Kids Global School.

Special thanks to all the Students, Parents and Teachers for all the support extended to us during the visit of these dignitaries and to help us make these events special.

2010-11 : School activities updates

Hello Parents,

Here comes the activities update for the current calendar year 2010-11:

- Fancy dress competition : Students from all the classes – Nursery to Class X participated in the fancy dress competition organized at the school permises. We will like to mention that we have seen creativity, efforts and commitment from all the students. Photographs can be viewed at : http://kidsglobal.net/gallery/main.php

- Health education program : There were special session every second saturday of the month on various topics related to health, hygenic, counseling, nutrition etc. These sessions were conducted by Mrs. Margaret of the family welfare department, St. John’s hospital, Bangalore.

- PTA meeting : PTA meeting has been a regular affair every second saturday of the month. The objective of these sessions are to seek the parents participation and seek regular feedback.

- Special focus sessions : We organized sessions for the high school students on various topics like soft skills, disaster management, first aid, fire and safety, social responsibility, leadership skills, career planning and development.

- Competitions : Our students participated in various competitive examinations to name a few: Science talent examination, General knowledge examinations, Jawahar Navodaya examination,  Deccan herald quiz competitions, Seminar and quizes at Visveswariah technological museum, competitions at the cluster level.

- Rangoli competition : As part of the Onam Celebrations, students from all the classes – Class I to X participated in the Rangoli competition organized at the school permises. The entire permises was colorful with active participations from the students.

- Art & Craft competition : Students organized and participated in the Art & Craft competition in the school permises. There were lot of creative items hand made and displayed.  The attraction of the day was the “Devil’s house” with a new sense of creativity.

- Study tours and Picnics : Students visited Visveswariah Museum, Bal Bhavan-Cubbon Park and Lalbagh to enjoy and also learn while having fun.

- Awards : Kids Global School was awarded with Darwin 200 award from Putani Vignana, Chitradurga. Our Head Mistress Mrs. Magdalen Mary was awarded with Dr. S Radhakrishna award from Karnataka Prathibha Academy.

- Dignitaries visit : We had many dignitaries visting us and guiding us in our activities. Few of them are our chief patron Very Rev: K I Philip Remban (Director of 10+ orphanages/old age homes of the Malankara Orthodox Church), Our patron Dr. Philipos Mar Stephanos (Bishop of Iduki Diocese of the Malankara Catholic Church), Lt Col V Saraswathi (Joint Director – Sanik Welfare).

- Charity Collection and Contributions : As usual our students participated whole heartedly in the charity collection effort to help the deserving and to help the needy. Donations we given to the following organisations :

• Dayabhavan (Orphanage and AIDS patients care center at Bhakthrahalli, Kunigal);
• NAMS Snehasadan (Orphanage and Old age home at Jalahalli, Bangalore );
• Karunashraya (Terminal care center for the Cancer patients)
• Few individuals for medical care

- Valedictory function : The management and teachers organized a grand function to facilitate the outgoing Std X students.

- Celebrations : We celebrated all the key functions including Kargil day, Independence day, Republic day, Teacher’s day, Children’s day, Christmas & New year, School annual day and our students Birthday’s.
